Occupational Health and safety Policy 

As Icdas, we are targeting to create and maintain an occupational health and safety management system that is supported by the top managements and adopted by our employees by giving particular importance to quality, occupational health and safety and environmental health in our works; and adopting the principles indicated below in order to achieve these targets:
 
•ICDAS Inc. is determined to apply voluntarily and consciously the OHS management system established in compliance with the requirements of OHSAS 18001. 
• Our main objective is to maintain our commercial existence by protecting the health of our employees.
• While carrying out our activities, we will create and endeavour continuously to improve the most appropriate working environment for our employees by being attentive to occupational health and safety issues.
• Thus, we will always endeavour to give priority to automation.   
• Within this framework, we will minimize the occupational accidents and occupational diseases. 
• We will always create and put into effect the works and projects that continuously increase the Occupational Health and Safety Performance.
• We undertake to realize our production and investments without endangering the health of our employees and bequeathing better living opportunities and a safer and more liveable world to the next generations, and to abide by the OHS legislation.
 
OHS TRAINING PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS
Icdas Inc. is the first company in its sector being awarded and have the certificate of OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System in 2007, which is considered as the international standard in the area of occupational health and safety.

ICDAS, who adopted the principle that every accident can be prevented, initiated and maintain “Let’s Return Home Safely Project” in order to realize production without accident at the highest level by getting support from the MESS Training Foundation. Healthy employees of the future is brought up today with the trainings for all works and projects, and it is ensured that they take their place within the team culture.
 
Various activities are organized (picnics, dinners, cocktails, etc.) in order to improve participation and competition and to maintain the motivation in all projects carried out in our facilities.

ICDAS is awarded a prize by being selected as “The Best Practice Model at International Level” in the competition with the theme “ Risk Assessment” at the 5th International Occupational Health and Safety Regional Conference of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety in 2008. Again in 2010, it is awarded a prize by being selected as “The Best Practice Model at International Level” with its project with theme called “Safe Maintenance” in the “European Occupational Health and Safety Week Best Practices Awards” competition organized with the collaboration of Ministry of Labour and Social Security General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety and European Occupational Health and Safety Agency.
ICDAS is deemed worthy of awards in 2007 and 2008 consecutively within the scope of the “Productive Employee- Employer of the Year” category organized by the National Productivity Centre, which became the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology – General Directorate of Productivity in 2011, for its exemplary works carried out in its facilities oriented towards improving productivity; whereas in 2009, one of our personnel is awarded “Certificate for Contribution to Productivity” for his outstanding and devoted works oriented towards the implementation of productivity. Occupational Safety also occupies an important place in all works being carried out towards productivity improvement.
 
“Without Any Accident” project implemented in ICDAS facilities is also shared with the international steel sector. Our declaration titled “Steel Production Without Any Accident” delivered to the 16th International Metallurgy and Material Congress organized in Istanbul between 13-15 September 2012, is evaluated and accepted by the Congress Jury. The declaration delivered as audio-visual presentation is published in the Congress Declarations CD. 
 
“European Best Practices Award Competition” is organized within the scope of the “ Let’s Cooperate to Prevent Risks” campaign carried out in our country for 2012-2013 period with the collaboration of Ministry of Labour and Social Security General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety and European Occupational Health and Safety Agency (EU-OSHA). Our project titled “Production Without any Accident with Cultural Exchange” prepared for the relevant competition by our company is selected as number one in Turkey to represent our country in Europe.
