İÇDAŞ R&D Center
Guiding the future through innovative technologies, sustainable production processes, and strong collaborations.
The İÇDAŞ R&D Center successfully completed the audits conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in 2026 and was officially certified as an R&D Center by the Ministry.
The R&D Center is established at the Biga / Çanakkale facilities, covering a total area of 1,100 m², with 405 m² dedicated to laboratories and 695 m² to office spaces.
Our Fields of Activity and Projects
R&D projects are carried out across numerous activity fields, including Steel Production, Energy Generation, Port Operations, Shipyard, Dry Dock, and Auxiliary Operations. The synergy created by different fields of expertise contributes to original R&D projects.
In addition to its internal R&D projects, İÇDAŞ also conducts projects in collaboration with universities and other R&D centers. These projects have also been supported by TÜBİTAK-TEYDEB (Technology and Innovation Support Programs Directorate) and TENMAK (Turkey Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Agency). Furthermore, collaborative application efforts are underway for European Union Horizon Europe funding.
Our Research and Development Focus Areas
While research and development activities are grounded in customer expectations, they encompass topics such as new product development, cost reduction, process development, deriving value-added products from waste, energy efficiency, digitalization, contribution to scientific publications, and patenting.
Intellectual Property and Scientific Sharing
Intellectual Property Rights arising from our projects are safeguarded through Patent or Utility Model applications.
Contributions are made to relevant stakeholders by publishing scientific publications, articles, and papers at national and international conferences and symposia.
