Social Contribution and Social Responsibility
We add value to the local community with a sense of responsibility that enhances economic development and social welfare.
İÇDAŞ regards supporting economic development in the regions where it operates and contributing to the enhancement of social welfare as an integral part of its corporate responsibility. Our social responsibility efforts are conducted with a holistic approach under the headings of social and environmental infrastructure, education, sports, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
In 2025, total contributions provided to the local community reached 22.6 million TL. While a significant portion of this contribution was directed toward social and environmental infrastructure projects, community development was supported multidirectionally through backing in sports, education, and cultural fields.
Our Social Responsibility Focus Areas
Contributions to Sports
To support the physical and social development of youth, a total of 519 athletes (272 licensed, 247 amateur) were supported in 2025.
Contributions to Education
Within the scope of strengthening school infrastructure and equal opportunity, a total of 5.5 million TL in scholarship support was provided to 145 students.
Contributions to Cultural Heritage
In 2025, 6.6 million TL in financial and scientific support was provided to ancient city excavations and cultural projects such as Parion, Assos, Troy, etc.
İÇDAŞ's Contributions to Sports and Achievements
Significant contributions are made to sporting activities to support the physical and social development of youth. As of 2025, a total of 519 athletes were supported across various sports branches. Of these athletes, 272 are licensed and 247 are at the amateur level.
The primary supported branches include sailing-surfing, swimming, and basketball, with swimming being the area with the highest participation, featuring 273 athletes.
- Sailing & Surfing Branch: A total of 173 rankings/medals were achieved in 2025.
- Swimming Branch: A total of 394 rankings/medals were achieved in 2025.
- Basketball Branch: A total of 7 rankings/medals were achieved in 2025.
İÇDAŞ's Contributions to Education and Scholarship Programs
İÇDAŞ regards education as one of the fundamental elements of social development and continues to increase its contributions in this field every year. Support provided in education is handled in a multi-dimensional structure comprising the strengthening of school infrastructure, contributions to educational institutions, and scholarship opportunities offered to students.
Scholarship programs are also maintained to directly contribute to students' educational lives. In this context, scholarship support was provided to a total of 145 students in 2025, with total scholarship amounts reaching 5.5 million TL. A balanced distribution between female and male students is observed in scholarship allocations, aiming to support equal opportunity in education.
İÇDAŞ's Contributions to Cultural Heritage and Archaeological Excavations
İÇDAŞ considers the preservation of cultural heritage and its transmission to future generations as one of its primary areas of responsibility. Accordingly, support provided particularly to archaeological excavation work and cultural projects contributes to the continuity of scientific research.
Within the scope of efforts to preserve cultural heritage in 2025; support was provided to numerous prominent archaeological sites, primarily including Parion Ancient City (Biga), Assos Ancient City (Ayvacık), Troy Ancient City, Apollon Smintheion (Gülpınar), and Maydos Kilisetepe excavation areas. As of 2025, total contributions toward cultural heritage have reached the level of 6.6 million TL.
Local Stakeholders and Regional Collaborations
Through projects carried out in cooperation with local authorities, public institutions, non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions, direct responses are provided to regional needs; special priority is given to social solidarity, the development of educational opportunities, and the preservation of cultural values.
