Step 01

Steel Meltshop Process & Electric Arc Furnaces

Begins with charging scrap iron used as raw material into electric arc furnaces. The charged raw materials are melted into liquid steel and transferred to ladle furnaces where alloying processes are completed according to target quality.

In the final stage, liquid steel is cast into semi-finished steel billets of desired dimensions via continuous casting machines and dispatched to rolling mills after quality control approval.

Step 02

Rolling Mill Process & Reheating

To reach the desired rolling temperature, steel billets are recharged into the reheating furnace before being fed to the rolling stand. The heating process plays a critical role in achieving required mechanical properties. Following the cooling bed and completion of laboratory tests, bars are cut to desired lengths and packaged.

 
QTR Process and Heat Treatment
Step 03

QTR Process (Heat Treatment)

Applied to form a martensitic structure on the bar surface and pre-determine its depth. Consists of three stages:

1 - Quenching Process

Intense water cooling is applied to the bar exiting the final stand, ensuring rapid cooling beyond the critical cooling rate to form a thick, hard martensitic layer on the surface.

2 - Tempering Phase

Heat flow from the hot core to the quenched surface transfers through the martensitic structure formed in the first stage, maintaining high yield values via self-tempering.

3 - Final Cooling Phase

Takes place on the roller conveyor, involving semi-isothermal transformation of the remaining un-transformed austenite structure.

Step 04

Stretching Process & Quality Standards

Internal stresses of the steel are reduced through mechanical stress relief, eliminating brittleness and providing elasticity. The four-rib pattern increases surface area while keeping unit weight constant, enhancing bonding with concrete.

  • Micro-alloying with Vanadium, Niobium, and Molybdenum improves fatigue test values, delays aging, and extends structure lifespans.
  • Scales formed during hot rolling are removed via additional processing; exhibits high corrosion resistance and steady strength under thermal fluctuations.

Final Product & Packaging

Rebar, wire rods, and steel products that successfully pass laboratory tests are cut to standard lengths, neatly bundled for safe dispatch, and transferred to the shipping area.
